1. Create Content (top of left menu)
2. Image
3. Title – give your image a title
4. Topic – select Photography
5. Image Galleries – select Monthly Display
6. Browse to locate image (photograph) on your computer (max size 640 x 640 pixels)
7. Add optional description
8. Click Submit

WAI PhotographyWAI PhotographyThe Landscape Photography Workshop took place on Saturday April 10th. There were about 25 participants who were guided by two experienced photographers. The workshop started with a class and practical hints in the Brockagh Centre, Laragh, and was followed by an excursion around the lake at Glendalough.

If like many you enjoyed other events in the WAI Winter Meets series this season, then the following should be of interest. The talks program commencing at 8pm will include:

* Talk on Winter Hillwalking -- Anne Morrissey will talk on experience gained in Ireland and doing the Munros in Scotland
* Photography -- Simon Stewart will talk about how to get an interesting picture in the common, which is to say poor, weather.
* Break for discussion and refreshments at the bar
* Participating in Challenge Walks -- Anne Morrissey will draw on her experience of the many different challenge walks in Ireland.
* Long Distance Trekking -- TBA

Summits and Summiteering (Hill Bagging) in Ireland.

On 24th February 2010 - Simon Stewart will give a talk on Summits and Summiteering in Ireland (aka Hill Bagging) and related topics such as where are all the summit areas in Ireland and what are they like?

So if you are interested in exploring away from your local summit range, you will find lots of interesting information about places you can visit or take your club to.

The talk will have references to photography in the hills, navigation and access.

Michael Delahunty, a keen hill walker, is an award-winning photographer who specializes in taking landscape shots of Wicklow. Michael is giving a talk and a slide show of his best Wicklow photos in The Lansdowne Hotel, Pembroke Road, on Wednesday, September 30th 2009, at 8pm.

Ronan Lenihan (Mountain Training Ireland and Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Team) will give a talk on mountain rescue and staying safe in the hills. Ronan was Team Leader of Ireland's busiest team for over 3 years and is currently Deputy Team Leader and senior medic. The talk will focus on mountain rescue in Wicklow and in particular on the Glen of Imaal MRT and their history and current activities. The talk will give an insight into what it is like being a member of a volunteer search and rescue team and having to be involved in a range of activities such as search management, technical rescue and of course fundraising! There will be information on staying safe in the hills and also on what you can do to help yourself and MR when it does go wrong.
