Summits and Summiteering (Hill Bagging) in Ireland.

On 24th February 2010 - Simon Stewart will give a talk on Summits and Summiteering in Ireland (aka Hill Bagging) and related topics such as where are all the summit areas in Ireland and what are they like?

So if you are interested in exploring away from your local summit range, you will find lots of interesting information about places you can visit or take your club to.

The talk will have references to photography in the hills, navigation and access.

Munro Bagging in Scotland

Following the very successful Table Quiz, which raised over €800 for Mountain Rescue Ireland, the Walkers Association of Ireland is hosting two more winter meets in March. The first of these is on March 5th and is hosted by the Irish Ramblers Club, when Anne Morrissey will be talking about Munro “bagging” in Scotland. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions to learn how to get there, where to stay, when to go and much more.
