Our Rambling Festival is based in and around the pretty village of Dunmore East and we are offering a sack full of interesting coastal and cliff walks with leaders to brief you on the history and wildlife (mainly feathered) in the area of Waterford Estuary.

Fundraiser for St. Vincent de Paul

The Muinch - Venice Challenge

This year we want to raise badly needed funds for the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Our aim is to raise 10,000euro and our challenge is this grueling 560km walk across the alps, starting at Munich and finishing in Venice. The walk is devided into 28 stages and crosses the alps at over 3000m in height. The walkers taking part in this challenge are Ulrich Loos and Jimmy Fealy.

"Uíbh Ráthach na gCnoc" or "Upland Iveragh" is the title of this year's Éigse na Brideóige, a weekend celebration of the hills and mountains of the western Iveragh peninsula in South West Kerry which will be held 3-5 February 2012.

The festival focuses on the heritage, culture, geographical features of the hills of this Gaeltacht area, and includes walks, lectures, a seminar and a festival concert among the weekend's activities.
