A new and interesting route for Hillwalkers and runners alike this event whilst primarily a running event is under the umbrella of the Dublin Mountains Partnership.

The DMP along with various Dulblin Hillwalking clubs have made great strides in both the improvement and construction of many of the sections of this route and as such is an interesting and enjoyable day is promised for all walkers.  

 

The Dublin Mountains is an exciting recreational facility for the young and old and the Dublin Mountains Partnership are developing an integrated plan for the area, linking existing and potential outdoor recreation components – in particular forests and other public or state owned lands, with the ultimate aim of improving the recreational experience for users of the Dublin Mountains..

 

Have you got what it takes to compete in the Dublin Mountains Plod?  This 21km (half marathon) run through the beautiful Dublin Mountains is being hosted by the DMP and IMRA. 

 

The event takes place on Sunday 18th July at 10am.

 

The race starts and finishes in Marlay Park, and the course winds up Tibradden & Cruagh Lanes into Massy's wood, across to Cruagh and along the Dublin Mountains Way to Tibradden and then along the Wicklow Way back to Marlay Park. Most of the route is along forest roads and trails.

Entry fees are €15 for IMRA members and €25 for non-IMRA.
