Summits and Summiteering (Hill Bagging) in Ireland.

On 24th February 2010 - Simon Stewart will give a talk on Summits and Summiteering in Ireland (aka Hill Bagging) and related topics such as where are all the summit areas in Ireland and what are they like?

So if you are interested in exploring away from your local summit range, you will find lots of interesting information about places you can visit or take your club to.

The talk will have references to photography in the hills, navigation and access.

If you are specifically interested in Summiteering then there will be a discussion of hill lists that you may be interested in.

Finally MountainViews will be inaugurating its awards to completers of lists such as the Vandeleur-Lynam list, the Local List and the County Top and to significant contributors to the collective knowledge on MountainViews.

There will be an opportunity to meet other people in the room which has a bar.  The WAI will be requesting that non-members (of the WAI) contribute 1 or 2 Euro towards the room hire.
