John Shackleton , the current new membership secretary of the Irish Ramblers, will give an
Ernest Shackleton's Graveillustrated talk on his recent visit to the Antarctic. John is a cousin of Ernest Shackleton the explorer who was born in Kilkea in County Kildare. He is deeply interested in the Antarctic and his talk, while focusing on his own trip, will also touch on the four trips made by Ernest Shackleton and will include some of the photographs of Frank Hurley the photographer on the famous 1914-16 expedition.

Directions to St. Judes:
Coming from the Spawell Roundabout, it is along from the entrance to Spawell Driving Range, close to Faugh's GAA Club and next to the entrance to Tymon Park in a laneway beside St. MacDara's Community School, - Exit 11 off the M50 southbound, going in the direction of Templeogue Village - it will be on your left going towards Templeogue from M50.(Go left at Spawell Roundabout, going towards Kimmage/Crumlin).
