From Crohaun to the finish...

Can anyone describe the route from Crohaun onwards, especially where exactly one goes after reaching Crohaun.  Where does one enter the forest in order to get onto the correct track?  Anyone who could give grid references would be appreciated.  Crohaun is unmanned so I'd rather not leave such questions until that point.  Thanks!

Frett Not!

Frett Not Tom - there is a good reason for this.

If your looking at the OS software (even the aerial maps) things can look a little disconcerting - but rest assured all is well.

The route follows a well defined track all the way down to Whites Cross (just when you get to the very end . . . continue straight on at this crossroads - which may seem like it's stating the obvious but there has been the occasion. . . . .) where a shuttle run of buses and cars bring the weary walkers back to Dungarvan.

Recent Forrest works have improved on previos tracks so last years last stage was even better than before.

Either way the Dungarvan Hillwalking club plant about a thousand "This Way" stakes on this part so that no-one goes astray so close to the finish.

Best Wishes, Jim Holmes.
