The Kerry Way Cancer Research Walk is 3 day 70km which start and finish each day at Kenmare and is in aid of Cork Cancer Research Centre.

Fancy a ‘heart healthy trek’ through the scenic Burren? Heart Charity Croí invites you to take part in the Burren Walk and raise valuable funds for the charity. This year’s event, organized by The Burren Walking Club, takes place on Saturday, 29th August. The stunning walk through the Clare hills is a guaranteed fun day out, which involves gentle hill terrain with the choice of three distances, 9 miles, 15 miles and for the more adventurous, a 17mile route! Registration on the morning takes place from 10am at the Fanore Recreational Area, Fanore, Co. Clare. The participant who raises the most sponsorship for Croí will be entered into a draw for a super prize!

OXFAM TRAIL TREKKER 2010

Be part of something amazing this September!  TRAILTREKKER challenges your team of four to walk a 100km cross-border route through beautiful Irish terrain in 36 hours.

This is not a relay!  Your team will start the route together, walking through each checkpoint together and finish together, trekking by day and through the night.

Helping to raise funds for Cappagh National Orthopaedic Hospital - this will be a six day trip on the famous Camino from Ronceesvalles to Estella.

This walk is organised by Co-operation Ireland, a cross border charity who in conjunction with Classic Tours are offering a trip to Tanzania to trek Mount Kilimanjaro.

Glen_of_Imaal_MTR.jpg The Wayfarers are organising a series of walks in aid of the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and the Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Team. There will be a choice of 3 walks on the day, a short walk of approximately 20k and 6.5 hours duration, a medium walk of 21k and 7 hours duration and a long walk of 30k and approximately 9 hours duration.

Many_Summits.jpg Arthritis Ireland helped organized 50 teams to simultaneously climb 50 peaks on Saturday July 14th 2007 to fly the flag in aid of the 5000 children in Ireland affected by juvenile arthritis. A number of peaks nationwide were selected from which to choose.
