BENBULBEN CHALLENGE

Applications need to be in by 10th July. Buses leave from the Beach Hotel, Mullaghmore 6.00 - 6.30am, taking people to the start of the walk at Gorteendaragh Wood. Entry fee is €20, which includes bus fare. Pre-booking is required to guarantee a seat on the buses.

Distance: 35km Height Gain: 1,500 metres. Average time to complete: 10-12 hours. This is not a guided walk, participants must be suitably equipped, able to navigate and look after themselves on the mountains (water will be available at selected checkpoints).
Route includes Arroo, Lough Aganny, Truskmore and Ben Bulben. The walk finishes at G 683 450. Certificates will be presented to all walkers. A "social night" and meal is organised in the Beach Hotel afterwards.
